"Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you."
I once remember hearing the old Chinese proverb: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
With this philosophy in mind, I recognize that the problems of the world are great, and no one person can cure all ills. But as Mother Theresa once said “Never worry about numbers. Help one person at a time and always start with the person nearest you.”
So, from grantor funded homeless shelters and after-school programs in Los Angeles to non-profit organizations focused on feeding the poor and providing medical care to the needy in Africa, I have supported and continue to support numerous philanthropic organizations focused on solving the world’s problems and healing the wealth disparity in any way I can.
